    What is inside a read

    The window opens with the reading, not a number. Here is what comes back.

    The verdict. A plain-language call on the concept, with a summary of how it sits in its market and a confidence level so you know how much cohort there was behind the answer.

Each one carries a similarity percentage, whether it survived or died, why it is in your cohort, its price, its review count and how positive those reviews were, its wishlists and owners where we have them, and a link to its store page so you can go and look for yourself.

    Where to price it. Two numbers, deliberately. The genre and platform benchmark, which is the whole category: median price, median reviews, share of free-to-play. And the tighter one: the price band of the closest concepts to yours that actually survived. The second is the more useful guide; the first is the context around it.

    What players want. What players of those games consistently loved, and what they consistently complained about, pulled from review data across the cohort. This is the section that tends to change a design, because the complaints are usually about the thing you were also planning to do.

    Failure-mode risks. The ways a project like yours typically goes wrong, each with a severity, an explanation of why it applies to you, and something concrete to do about it. These are the problems a playtest will not surface, because they are about the market and the shape of the project rather than the feel of the game.

    What you need

    • An internet connection, because the analysis runs on Gameloom's hosted service.

    Privacy, in full

    Gameloom needs a description of your idea, not your game.

    What is sent: the concept or GDD text you choose to analyse, truncated to the first 40,000 characters, and the platform you select. We also necessarily receive your IP address and issue a short-lived session identifier. There is no per-install or device identifier.

    What is never touched: your project. The package does not read or transmit your scenes, scripts, prefabs or assets. There is no project-wide scan, and no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs in the package.

    Who processes it: our hosted infrastructure and third-party AI model providers for the extraction step, currently OpenRouter as the gateway and Anthropic as the model. They process it to return the analysis and nothing else. The market comparison, scoring and risk functions use no AI model and run on our own infrastructure.

    What happens to it: your submitted content is never used to train AI models and is never sold. On the anonymous path, it is not stored in our application database. IP address and request metadata sit in our hosting providers' logs for up to 30 days, for security and diagnostics.

    What Is MCP (Model Context Protocol)

    Gameloom for Unity is built on the Model Context Protocol, an open standard introduced and open-sourced by Anthropic in November 2024 that lets tools and AI assistants talk to outside systems through one common interface. Gameloom runs an MCP server, and this package is a client for it.

    You do not need to care about any of that to use it, and you do not need a specific Unity version to benefit from it. The package talks to Gameloom directly and works from Unity 2022.3.
